Meet the team

So-Shan Au
Commissioning Editor

I'm responsible for commissioning resources for schools in Geography, and more recently, Religious Studies.

I've been at Hodder Education for three years and my highlights so far are Edexcel Chinese for A Level; bestselling titles GCSE Geography for WJEC AGCSE Geography for WJEC B and Tomorrow's Geography for Edexcel A.

Before Hodder Education, I worked as a writer/editor for Christian Aid (you can find some of the resources here, including Crazy Climate). I've also worked in Hong Kong on English Language Teaching (ELT) resources, and I started my publishing career as a business and management encyclopedia editor.

I ♥ maps, London, photography, art and design, Rob Ryan's papercuts, walking, trees and parks (especially London parks, like Kew Gardens and Regent's Park. We're lucky enough to work really near Regent's Park so lots of lunchtime walks!) Outside of work, I like to take photos as part of a 365 photo blog project and I do a bit of writing.

Please do get in touch – I'd love to hear your ideas for new publishing projects. And if you have any ideas on how we can improve this nest, or if you have an idea to contribute, we'd love to hear from you.

And you can find me on LinkedIn

Blanka Biernat
Senior Marketing Executive
I've worked in various publishing houses since I completed an MA in Publishing 3 years ago. At Hodder Education I'm responsible for marketing all Humanities subjects, as well as the English and International lists.

I am interested in art and photography and spend most of my free time taking pictures, visiting London galleries or drinking coffee in Starbucks.

The editors

Clockwise from top left, we are Maddy Clark (Managing Editor), Maddy Eames (Project Editor), Alex Cooper (Subject Editor) and Vicky Robertshaw (Desk Editor) and we all work on projects on the Humanities lists. All together we’ve worked on these books, and more recently digital titles, for about 22 years.
